During my own journey, I often encountered people who wanted to help, but who found it difficult to know what to say or do since they hadn’t ‘been there’. That’s just one of many examples where the experience of being a survivor can be put into service to help another. Help which not only offers empathetic reassurance that they are not alone, but which also may become a lifeline to finding and enlisting their own personal power and courage.
